T.D.I.H. - Feb 20

On this date in history The Saturday Evening Post published the first of Norman Rockwell's Four Freedoms. These paintings were inspired by a speech by President Franklin Roosevelt. They were widely used as propaganda during World war II and were effective as tools for raising war bonds. The first cover was Freedom of Speech. The other three were Freedom from Fear, Freedom to Worship, and Freedom from Want.
