The number one movie in the US on this date in 1980 was back to Kramer V Kramer after a one week hiatus when it was supplanted by American Gigolo.Below is an ad for the Volkswagon Fastback from 1967 starring Dustin Hoffman. My family owned one of these. We drove around much of Western Europe in one in the 1980's, with a tent strapped to its roof in the summers.
