From The "There Is No Such Thing As Good News" Dept.

The economy sucks because unemployment is too low. People in places like Montana are seriously trying to argue this. Get a grip people!

To low of unemployment would lead to inflation.

So the current levels of unemplyment under Pres. Bush are pretty much optimal, correct?

From a pure unemployment level.

Yes.

...but if you accept that answer then you have to accept that by actively trying to remove all the illigals from the workforce you are trying to hurt the economy by knowingly causing inflation.

Deporting illegals would have an effect on our economy... we would havce to adjust, people would be laid off of jobs no longer required because the people they serve would be gone... But those Americans who lose their jobs becausde of the loss of the illegals would then have to take a new career... Doing a job that is open...

I would be willing to take the economic shock of deporting thousands of illegals.... (It would be nice to be able to deport millions yearly, but I do not think we would be that aggressive)

These areas in need of workers are having to deal with "supply and demand"... In order to keep workers they have to pay more... Or get a new influx of workers to keep wages depressed... Thats what the illegals do whereever they go... depress wages.
