Today is the anniversary of the D-Day landings at Normandy. I've been there, and walked along the beaches, and the countryside. Unimaginable sacrifices were made by British, American and yes even Canadian men on those fateful days.
Could you imagine the outcry if a modern war resulted in a tenth of the casulaties that resulted in the first week of that battle?
The American people could endure the pain, but the media would have conniption fits.
