Today was our last day with the kids. I'm really glad to see this bunch go. Even the good kids got to be annoying after having them for a calendar year. My kids from last year were leaving and getting ready to go to high school. Now that was a great bunch of kids. They were smart, funny, hard working and cooperative. I'll really miss that group.
If I can get a group like that every five years, it's worth the daily struggle with the other ones. I have to struggle more than most, because I teach Social Studies, and the kids just refuse to understand why it is so important.
Hopefully in three or four years I can move up into the high school and teach Government, which is my passion and my credential.
