OK, it's been obvious that Santos (Jimmy Smits) would be the next president all season. He's the one who has been featured in all the promos. Plus there is no way the writers of this show would have a Republican win the election. Having McGarry as VP was a surprise though. A smart way of keeping John Spencer on the show. Let's see, predictions: 1) Josh (Bradley Whitford) becomes chief of staff. This means C.J. (Allison Janney) is probably off the show as a regular. I can't see her character in any role. 2) Donna (Janel Moloney) gets Josh's old job. 3) Will Bailey (Joshua Malina) gets Toby's (Richard Schiff) old job. Toby gets written off the show. That's the reason for the whole shuttle leak plot line, to provide his reason for leaving. (in a surprise move, the plot line could provide Janney's reason for leaving) Possible re-occurring guest star role for Schiff. 4) Charlie (Dulé Hill), Kate (Mary McCormack) and Annabeth (Kristin Chenoweth) all stay on in supporting roles.

I still think Allan (Hawkeye Pierce) Alda would be a great president...though it's funny to see him play a Republican. ;)
